Wednesday 11/20 - Happy Wag’s Wednesday 🍔🍺 if you didn’t know, we host Trivia at 6pm each week and @wagnerslunchpool delivers their tasty burgers from 4:45-7:30! Choose from a classic double cheese with all the works or the weekly burger feature. This week’s special is the Wag-tastic: double burger topped with cream cheese jalapeño peach spread and corn chips!

Thursday 11/21 - Take advantage of our taste of the Big Apple special where your first beer is just $5 when you purchase a pizza. We’ll deliver it directly to your table when it’s ready 🍕 plus we’ll have this month’s installment of News & Brews where Annie from @oppnews joins us to discuss questions and feedback on the news, and you can win prizes for participating 📰🗞️

MSB is officially 5 years old today! Owners Rod, Mark, and Bill will be behind the bar this evening to throw it back to when we first opened! While they may not be dressed in their lederhosen, they’ll be serving up cold brews all night!

We are officially declaring it igloo season! We have two igloos up and available for booking for 90 minutes at a time for $15! Take a trip Up North with cozy, cabin vibes or travel to your very own Winter Wonderland just steps from the MSB taproom ❄️🍺

This Friday MSB is celebrating our fifth anniversa

This Friday MSB is celebrating our fifth anniversary! We can’t believe it’s already been five years!

Within our first year of opening and through 2020, the community showed up to support MSB via off-sale purchases of our crowlers and growlers while the taproom was closed in accordance with Covid-19 orders. We were blown away from the support from the community! Once we were able to open up again, we expanded our seating options with our Igloos! Over the years we’ve curated individual themes for each and have actually got two out on our patio available to rent now!

In 2021 we hosted our very first Oktoberfest! Each year it has gotten bigger and bigger and has always been a blast to dress up, raise a stein, yodel, and polka dance with the community!

In 2022 we started weekly entertainment with MSBGO every Sunday and Trivia / Wag’s Wednesdays partnering with our friends at Wagners Lunch. Since then we’ve begun hosting a variety of other monthly and quarterly events like Name That Tune, Puzzle Night, Spelling Bee, and Paint & Sips!

Then last year in 2023, we partnered with @owatonna_ypro and @owatonnachamber to host our very first 0.5K (yes, less than a mile) to benefit Steele County Humane Society! It’s been a great way to raise funds (and a glass!) during an event for all ages and skill levels!

This year we were honored to have our Cinder Hill Cream Ale voted best in state for American Blondes, Wheats & Cream Ales in the MN Brewers Guild awards! We knew it was that good😉😂, but how awesome to see one of our flagships receive that recognition! Plus later in the summer, we learned that MSB was voted Reader’s Choice Best Brewery/Cidery in Southern Minnesota 🙌

5 years have flown by, and we’ve had a blast! Cheers to more memories as we look ahead to moving to MSB 2.0 at the beginning of 2025!

In celebration, on the official 5-year date this Friday (11/8) owners Rod, Mark, and Bill will be behind the bar, serving brews and giving away MSB merch all night! Taqueria Espartaco will be with us from 4-8 with delicious eats!

Earlier this year, the Minnesota Brewer’s Guild secured a proclamation naming November 1st each year “MN Beer Day”, a day to celebrate the history and culture of Minnesota beer.

MSB will be celebrating with a limited quantity of these awesome commemorative glasses pictured here in Owatonna’s very own Straight River - either $12 for a glass full of one MSB pour OR free with the purchase of a $30 Giftcard 🍺

Two weeks ago we had a blast at our Oktoberfest, which also happened to be the best turnout we’ve seen yet the past few years! We wanted to thank you for making this celebration what it is! It continues to be a highlight of our year, and we’re excited to keep it growing next year when we’ll be in MSB 2.0!
